CCSP Exam Overview

The Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) exam is designed to validate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to design, manage and secure data, applications and infrastructure in the cloud. It is ideal for experienced IT and information security leaders responsible for applying best practices to cloud security architecture, design, operations and service orchestration.

Exam Domains

The CCSP exam covers six domains:

Exam Prerequisites

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of cumulative, paid work experience in information technology, of which 3 years must be in information security and 1 year in 1 or more of the 6 domains of the CCSP exam.

A candidate who doesn’t have the required experience may become an Associate of (ISC)² by successfully passing the CCSP exam. The Associate of (ISC)² will then have 6 years to earn the 5 years required experience.

Maintaining CCSP Certification

CCSP certification is valid for three years. To maintain the certification, CCSPs must earn 90 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits over the three-year certification cycle and pay an Annual Maintenance Fee (AMF).
